Which country do you come from?

Sweden

How long have you been playing Age of Conan?

Never played MMOs until last year. Then I hopped around a bit on a few MMOs like that big dinosaur one, until Sheldon set me straight! :D

I was hooked from the first meeting with Kalanthes and when I found a home among great online game friends I understood the power of MMOs and haven’t looked back.

Which playfield/dungeon do you like the most?

I absolutely adore Amphitheatre of Karutonia! I love taking new players there and hear them gasp for breath when you walk up those stairs to behold the Frostfather for the first time, and then the quite audible sigh of relief when they realize they don’t have to fight him. (Ooops, SPOILER!)

Which class do you like playing the most?

My main is an assassin. Played well it is deadly for the opponent, but played poorly and your Estimated Time of Death will be 0.2 seconds after engaging in combat.

I would like to see some work done on the class though. There really isn’t much difference in the two feat trees in regards to how you play the assassin. The result is that most play very tiny variations of the same hybrid feat build.

On which server do you usually play?

I am playing on Crom since The Big Server Merge. Our guild, Crimson Horizon, have grown since the merge but i can’t help but missing old Hyrkania. Mitra knows we had our drama queens there, (like me :) ) but i think there was a feeling there that was lost in the merge.

So i think our world got bigger – and smaller.

I am hoping that the upcoming server tech will enable the players to break down into communities that fit their *coughs* preferred number of expletives per sentence, or the EPS factor.$

What is your preferred play-style?

My back ground in gaming is Role Play and that was my first love coming in to the game. But I find less time to Role Play these days unfortunately. So I am mostly a PvE player but dabble in PvP as well.

I would recommend all players that haven’t tried PvP to go and do so, perhaps not at level 80 unless you have a steel plate ego, but go do level 30ish minis and learn to move your feet! It will improve your playing in all other areas as well.

Are you member of a guild (or even a guild leader)? If yes, care to shortly introduce your guild?

I am sharing Guild Leadership with Mazurka of Crimson Horizon. We are a PvE-RP guild that formed in April after merging two very established Hyrkanian guilds. We have a fully T3 guild city and just hit Renown 16 late September. (Good work everyone!)

We are working closely with our partner guild Cavaliers of the Sun in raids and groups so we can have activity in all levels of the game.

As a guild we like to bring new players in to the game and we try our best to provide a fun, easy going and mature-ish attitude in the guild. We want to encourage our players to go seek the game they want to play be it PvE, RP or PvP.

Our players tend to be a 30+ and we are very fortunate to have quite a few women in our guild to keep the rest of us in line! :)

What was your most epic, funny or special moment while playing Age of Conan?

There was a slave auction held in Tortage by Ivald/Lavrentivs last year. I had gone there with Cylien to observe the event and go to talking with a rambunctious red head called Kareth. After the event was over the two of them went up in the Rum and Rumble to continue to talk. Ivald entered the tavern and Kareth and Cylien decided to try to boost the earnings form the slave sale from the drunken slave trader. Epic and spontaneous RP indeed!

Do you have a fansite/blog/wiki related to Age of Conan?

Nope, but i follow Slith’s Assassins Hideout. It is required reading for anyone remotely interested in trying to survive as an assassin in Hyboria. .

Anything else you want to share with your fellow players?

Gaming is a part of life – it is not life. It is a very important distinction that needs repeating at times.

There, that sounds like wisdom! I will try to remember that as well!

Also i want to take the chance to thank everyone in Crimson Horizon and Cavaliers of the Sun for being the most amazing bunch of people i have yet to meet. :D

And Tarib, I was gob smacked to be asked as i think there are some that deserve it more. *Points to Galahad, Slith, Shahir, Kalehotep, Invino to name a few . :) *
